Italian football club Bologna FC have announced a shirt sponsorship deal with British online car retailer Cazoo. The deal, set to commence from the 2022-23 season, is part of Cazoo’s plans to enter the Italian market later this year.

The multi-year deal will see the Cazoo logo feature on the front of Bologna’s men’s and women’s teams’ matchday shirts. Brand visibility will also be allotted to Cazoo across the club’s home ground, the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, their media backdrops and social media handles.

Speaking about the partnership, Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Cazoo, said:

We are very excited to be partnering with Bologna FC. Like us, they are very ambitious, driven by results and have a passionate following across Italy. We look forward to working with the club and the local community and to delivering the best car buying experience to their fans and consumers across Italy.

Claudio Fenucci, CEO, Bologna FC 1909, added:

We are extremely proud that a company like Cazoo, a rapidly growing industrial reality, has chosen Bologna as its first sports partnership in Italy, recognising an important corporate image in the Club and sharing with us an ambitious and long-term sporting project.
