Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll will miss the 2023 Formula One season’s pre-season testing in Bahrain after meeting a bicycle accident in Spain.

The team have announced that Stroll has sustained injuries that will rule him out of the pre-season test in Bahrain, which is scheduled to be held between February 23 and 25, 2023. The British team have also announced that Stroll is expected to make a quick recovery in time for the season-opener in Bahrain on March 5, 2023.

Aston Martin are yet to announce who will replace Stroll in Bahrain for the pre-season test. They have Stoffel Vandoorne and Felipe Drugovich on board as Reserve Drivers, although Vandoorne will be taking part in the Cape Town race in the Formula E series the same time as the pre-season test.

Lance Stroll commented on the situation:

I’ve had an unfortunate accident whilst training on my bike in preparation for the season. I am determined to get back in the car and I am excited about the season ahead with the team. I am motivated to bounce back from this setback as quickly as possible.
