The Hobart Hurricanes of the Big Bash League (BBL) have announced an expanded partnership with Australian private security firm Wilson Security.

Wilson Security will continue to be the Hurricanes’ official security partner following this new one-year deal. A vital member of the Hurricanes sponsorship portfolio for more than seven years, it will continue as their official headwear partner, with its logo printed on the players’ hats of both the Hurricanes men’s and women’s teams.

In accordance with the contract, the Wilson Security logo will also be visible on other player headgear, including playing hats, training caps and helmets, as well as on billboards near the Hurricanes dugouts on all their home games.

Nick Schijf, Wilson Security, Chief Operating Officer, stated:

In partnership with the Hurricanes throughout the last seven-seasons, we have worked together towards a joint vision, engaging with communities, staff, members and fans alike, something we are looking forward to continuing over the 2023-24 season.

Scott Barnes, General Manager, Hobart Hurricanes, said:

Wilson Security has been a part of the Hurricanes family for a long time now, and so we’re thrilled to have this relationship continue. Wilson Security extending their deal, shows the trust they have in what our team is doing to grow and solidify the Hurricanes’ brand both on and off the field.
