Official Sponsors

Barclays

Barclays, a British multinational universal bank, has been the title sponsor of the WSL since 2019. It has invested more than £30 million in women’s football projects across the UK over the last four years.

Barclays also title-sponsors the Women’s Championship — the division below the WSL.

Nike

American sportswear and sports equipment giant Nike signed a multi-year partnership deal with the English FA in August 2022 to become the official match ball sponsor of the WSL.

Apart from the WSL, Nike balls are also used in the Women’s Championship and the FA Women’s League Cup.

Nike and the FA’s relationship dates back to 2013.

Vitality

Vitality is a British company specialising in private insurance sold to the British market, offering health insurance, life insurance and car insurance products as well as investments.

Vitality’s current partnership with the FA was announced in February 2020. The three-year deal sees the company serve as the title sponsor of the Women’s FA Cup.

Continental

The British division of Hanover-based German tyre manufacturer Continental serves as the title sponsor to the FA Women’s League Cup, which is thusly called the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup, often commonly referred to as the “Conti Cup”.

EA Sports FC

EA Sports, a division of American video game developer and publisher Electronic Arts, signed a multi-year partnership deal with the WSL and the Division 1 Féminine — the top tier of professional women’s club football in France — in July 2022, making them the first two women’s club football leagues to be included in FIFA 23 — the 2022 instalment of EA Sports’ football simulation video game series, FIFA (since rebranded to EA Sports FC).

Broadcasting partners

Sky Sports

British sports broadcasting company Sky Sports signed a multi-year broadcasting deal with the WSL in September 2021.

In the last year of their deal, Sky is to broadcast 35 matches of this WSL season on Sky Showcase — a channel that does not require a Sky Sports subscription.

BBC

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), a British public service broadcasting company, signed a three-year broadcasting partnership deal with the WSL in December 2021.

As per the deal, BBC were to broadcast a minimum of 18 league games during the 2021/22 season, which was raised to 22 in the final year of the deal for the 2023/24 season.

Both the Sky Sports and BBC deals are reportedly worth around £8 million per year over three years.
