Energy firm Enel has been announced as the Official Energy Partner of AS Roma following a new partnership agreement.

The deal will see Enel help the Italian professional football club achieve sustainability via integrated services and solutions for the “electrification of consumption and the use of renewable energy”.

Enel will also be receiving branding privileges at the Stadio Olimpico, home of the Roma senior men’s team, and its logo will be present on the advertising hoardings, big screens and pre- and post-match interview backdrops.

Michael Wandell, AS Roma’s Chief Commercial & Brand Officer, commented:

We’re extremely proud to welcome Enel to our partnership family. This is a historic Italian multinational corporation, present in every corner of the globe. Enel is world renown for setting benchmarks within the electricity distribution sector and private renewable energy markets. Today we begin a journey celebrating two iconic Italian brands as we forge a future ahead rooted in innovation and sustainability.

Roberto Deambrogio, Enel’s Head of Communications, added:

We’re delighted to announce this important partnership with AS Roma, which aims to bring sustainability to the world of football and bring more and more people closer to the energy sector. Through this agreement, alongside one of the most important teams in Serie A, we’ll show the club and its fans the world of Enel solutions and our products which allow for a more conscious, simple and efficient use of energy.
