The TVC will be amplified with a 360-degree campaign across television, digital content, social media and OOH integrations during the on-going 2022 Tata IPL.

Muthoot FinCorp, one of India’s leading non-banking financial companies and flagship entity of Muthoot Pappachan Group, also popularly known as Muthoot Blue, has launched the ‘Mera Gold Loan, Mera Interest’ campaign with star India batter Virat Kohli. Kohli appears in three avatars in the three television commercials (TVC) along with other players of IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore. Muthoot FinCorp, the significant entity in the Indian business landscape, introduced a revolutionary concept wherein customers can choose the interest rate on their gold loan.

Known for his witty sense of humour both on and off the field, former India skipper Kohli once again took fans by storm with his new amusing avatars in the TVC alongside RCB teammates Dinesh Karthik, Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel and Finn Allen, all of whom highlighted the importance of the scheme in the life of a common man.

Kohli donned the roles of a teacher, umpire and doctor in a rib-tickling way in multilingual TVCs which showcased three different fun-filled scenarios with the former India captain explicitly appealing with the line ‘Mera gold loan, mera interest. Ab khud chuno apni interest rate’.
Muthoot FinCorp has been associated with the Royal Challengers Bangalore as the team’s title sponsor for the third successive year. The core message of the campaign aims to appeal to the customers’ sense of freedom while choosing their interest rate. In one of the videos that was released recently, Kohli was seen in a teacher’s avatar, surprising ‘student’ Siraj by offering him options of rewards for performing well in the class.

Thomas George Muthoot, Director, Muthoot FinCorp Ltd, commented:
“Muthoot FinCorp, has always been the pioneer in bringing out innovative campaign thoughts aimed at helping the common man to improve their financial well-being. As the pandemic has subsided to a relatively low level and businesses are inching back to normal, we are launching a special scheme ‘Mera Gold Loan, Mera Interest’. This would help them to plan their finances better and would help them improve their livelihood.”

In the other yet-to-be-released videos from the campaign, Kohli will be seen donning the role of a doctor and asking Kiwi cricketer Finn Allen about rewards such as donuts, pizza, burger and pastries for remaining fit, while in an umpire’s role, he will be asking wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik his choice of delivery as Mohammed Siraj will look on curiously.

The company, which has operations across the country through 3500-plus branches and over 30,000 employees serving over five million customers, had earlier encouraged consumers to adapt the Blue Soch in order to become successful in their lives. While the common man was facing unforeseen challenges and was stuck in life with no concrete movement ahead during the COVID pandemic, Muthoot FinCorp exhorted people to change the way they thought and adopt a positive attitude in life, fondly called it the Blue Soch.

The Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore have won three matches from five games so far in the ongoing TATA IPL. Next, they will be facing the Delhi Capitals on Saturday, 16 April.
